Mental Performance Consultation

The Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) defines applied sport psychology as a process that involves facilitating the development of mental and emotional skills, techniques, attitudes, perspectives, and processes that lead to performance enhancement and positive personal development. A Mental Performance Consultant (MPC) works with individual athletes, teams, and coaches to assist them in their performance objectives. MPCs have met specific educational and training criteria in the area of sport sciences, psychology, and counselling, have gone through an extensive review process, and are approved to practice by the CSPA.

Mental Health Counselling

Counselling is a collaborative process that supports individuals in engaging in change for the betterment of their personal wellbeing. Counselling addresses wellness, relationships, personal growth, career development and mental health. The counselling space is a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment. A Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia has met specific educational and training criteria required by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. RCC’s have a minimum of a Master’s degree in addition to other specialized training in their area of practice.
